Wastewater treatment of rendering
Wastewater from slaughterhouses and rendering plants contain high amounts of nitrogen, which can affect the anaerobic COD removal. High concentrations of COD connected with fats, solids and condensates require an individually tailored process technology.
ACS Environmental has developed a sustainable and energy-efficient wastewater treatment concept.
The ACS UASB reactor benefits even at low amounts of wastewater, providing an advantage especially for smaller businesses.
The ACS EGSB reactor, with its patented technology, reduces the COD load by 85-90% and reduces the BOD5 concentrations by up to 90%.
The ACS-Lipothan reactor is always recommended when fats, oils or proteins are present in small amounts. A circulation in the reactor takes place until a complete degradation has resulted. A flotation unit can also then be dispensed.

Description | The anaerobic wastewater treatment process eliminates the polluting compounds in the wastewater and converts them very efficiently into energy-rich biogas. The methane gas is used by a combined heat and power plant converting it into electricity and heat. |
Substrate | Wastewater from a rendering plant |
Calculated for | 4.700 kg/d COD, 341m³ Volume, 800mg/l COd Effluent |
